What will I receive?
For watercolor home portraits you will receive a hand drawn, hand painted illustration on archival quality, professional grade paper. For loose sketch home portraits, your hand drawn digital sketch will be professionally printed and artist enhanced. I only use the highest quality paper, paints, charcoal and ink to complete these illustrations. Your artwork will arrive in a clear sleeve with a chipboard backer and mailed in a stay flat mailer for protection.
What is the turn around time?
I accept a VERY limited number of custom illustrations each month to ensure the highest level of detail is given to each and every home portrait. While my typical turnaround time is 4 weeks, around holidays, these times may be a bit longer. To secure your place in my production calendar, complete the form below - including your payment and photo. There is a place to request a certain "return-by" date. If this date is less than 4 weeks, your illustration can be expedited for an additional fee. Once your complete the form, you will get an email from me confirming your place in my production calendar with an estimated delivery date.
How important is the photo?
Illustrations will be based on the photo you provide however I employ artistic license as I illustrate in my signature style and balance aesthetic. These illustrations highlight the architectural features and as a result landscaping is very minimal. Watercolor illustrations begin with a digital sketch that you have the opportunity to review for one round of corrections and additions. Please make sure the photo you submit is taken straight on to the house and in daylight. I will reach out to you if additional photos are needed. What is the investment?
Custom home portrait commissions begin at $75 for loose sketches and $185 for watercolor illustrations. Please use the listing below to secure your commission on my studio schedule. A follow up email will be sent to gather more information, your reference photo, and purchase any additional reproductions.
Reproductions and prints are a wonderful option if you are gifting the illustration to multiple people or want to keep a copy for yourself. Watercolor illustration reproductions are available for $105, with each additional print priced at $45. Loose sketch additional prints are offered at $25 per print.
Note: Due to the nature of watercolor reproductions, there may be a slight color variation between the original and any reproductions.
Digital files may also be purchased for $75, allowing you to print your illustration as many times as you'd like or use on a variety of mediums.
